UAE: Protecting the rights of workers in the private sector and adopting their demands and rights

Abdallah Shahin - | Business

The UAE government works on the comfort of its employees in order to achieve the maximum degree of progress and the common interest between institutions and companies in the public and private sectors.

Despite the issuance of laws and decisions that stand in the side of the worker, whether he is a citizen or a foreigner, there are many complaints from workers, especially from workers in the private sector, where they complained that these decisions, although they are very good decisions and guarantee their rights, but that employers and owners Companies do not implement it and do not adhere to it, which tires workers a lot.

Also, in the case of workers requesting their rights and complaining about employers' non-compliance with the laws, they may face the risk of dismissal from work or punishment, so most workers who are exposed to this issue remain silent for fear of their jobs. Recently, there have been many calls from these workers to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed (President of the State) and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid (Prime Minister) to intervene in this matter and protect them from employers who do not follow instructions and laws, as the workers affirmed their confidence. It is full of their highnesses for what they found in the United Arab Emirates of security, safety, progress and respect for foreign workers, but it remains to protect the rights of workers in the private sector and adopt their demands and rights, to be under the care of their highnesses as they have always been accustomed to.
