Emirates announced on it will launch a new daily service from Dubai starting July 5

The UAE and Canada intend to enhance economic ties and boost aviation, tourism, commerce, and commercial links by launching flights to Montréal.

Daily flights to the new destination will meet the high demand for direct flights between Dubai and Canada, especially to its two main metropolitan centres, and give travellers more options when travelling to Canada.

Emirates announces new flights

Canada exports most to the UAE. Canada-UAE commerce reached C$2.6 billion (Dh7.05 billion) in 2022, up 53% from 2015. In 2021, Statistics Canada assessed the UAE's foreign direct investments in Canada at C$1.3 billion.

Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism reported 158,000 Canadian visitors in 2022, double the figure from 2021.

A Boeing 777-300ER with eight first-class suites, 42 lie-flat business class seats, and 304 economy class seats will fly daily between Dubai and Montréal as EK243/244.

Emirates is pleased to open its second gateway into Canada with direct services from Dubai. As a major metropolitan centre and Canada's second largest city, we are pleased to add Montréal to our growing global network of over 130 destinations and strengthen our coverage in the Americas to 18 points served by our services from Dubai,” said Emirates' Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim.

“We have been providing passenger and cargo services to Toronto for over 15 years, and when we begin services to Montréal in July, customers will have more choice when planning their travel for business, leisure, education, or visiting family and friends. The UAE and Canadian governments' improved accords make this new destination possible. With our expanded reach into the country, we look forward to facilitating new trade lanes, which will benefit Canadian businesses and exporters, promote tourism into more cities, and generate more jobs across all sectors, including those directly serving the aviation industry,” Kazim said.

Air Canada-Emirates partnership

Emirates and Air Canada's codeshare allows customers to fly to many destinations. Emirates customers can fly to Dubai and 17 cities in Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Far East, while Air Canada customers can fly to Dubai and 17 cities in Africa, India, the Middle East, and Far East. Emirates travellers can pick from approximately 140 Air Canada interline destinations, including 27 in Canada and 94 between Canada and the US and South America.

Emirates has flown its flagship A380 to Toronto since 2009. Emirates began daily A380 service to Toronto on April 20. With Montréal, the airline will offer two Canadian departure points. Emirates will now serve two Canadian locations, 12 US cities, and four Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina destinations.

Emirates offers cargo services to Canada with a bellyhold capacity of 20 tonnes on its Boeing 777 passenger aircraft and 15 tonnes on its A380.
