Kuwaiti visas for families
The suspension of family visas for expats in Kuwait occurred around two years ago, with the intention of regulating the population and demographic statistics in the country more effectively. It is necessary to fulfill certain requirements, such as a minimum salary and the application of employment regulations.
According to a statement released by the Ministry's department of security relations and media, this decision was made in response to directions issued by Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, who serves as the Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Acting Interior Minister.
In accordance with the ministerial directive No. 56 of 2024, which establishes new guidelines for the issuance of entry permits for family reunions, the petitions will be accepted, as described in the document.
There are a few terms that pertain to the expat who is applying for a family visa to Kuwait:
- Must have a salary of at least KD800 ($2,600)
- They should have a university degree certificate
- They must be employed in the same field as they studied (as per University certificate)
