The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has introduced a groundbreaking addition to its fleet: a high-speed sea ambulance boat.

This innovative vessel, capable of reaching speeds of 50 miles per hour, represents a significant step forward in the corporation's mission to enhance ambulance services. Notably, the boat is designed to accommodate up to 10 injured individuals, addressing the critical need for swift and efficient medical transportation in maritime emergencies.

Embracing the ethos of sustainability and technological advancement, the corporation has imbued the sea ambulance with eco-friendly features. By harnessing solar energy to power its operations, the boat exemplifies Dubai's commitment to clean energy initiatives and its dedication to reducing carbon emissions. Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, the Executive Director of the Foundation, underscored the significance of this development, emphasizing how the integration of solar power aligns with the nation's broader sustainability objectives.

In a statement, Julfar highlighted the meticulous planning behind the boat's design and construction. Every aspect, from the medical equipment to the navigational systems, is seamlessly powered by solar energy. This approach not only reduces environmental impact but also ensures the reliability and efficiency of emergency operations. The boat boasts a range of cutting-edge medical devices, including automated cardiac resuscitation equipment and real-time patient monitoring systems, enhancing its capacity to deliver comprehensive pre-hospital care.

Beyond its eco-friendly credentials, the sea ambulance excels in functionality and performance. With dimensions of 47 feet in length and 13 feet in width, the vessel is equipped with powerful 900-horsepower engines, enabling rapid response times in critical situations. Its advanced features, such as hydraulically operated stretchers to mitigate the effects of rough seas and a GPS tracking system for precise navigation, further enhance its effectiveness in emergency medical evacuations.

Julfar emphasized the corporation's overarching vision to establish a world-class ambulance system characterized by sustainability and excellence. By embracing innovative technologies and best practices, the Foundation aims to elevate Dubai's standing as a leader in emergency medical services. Through initiatives like the sea ambulance, the corporation reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding public health and safety, both on land and at sea.
