In addition, the Dubai Police Department distributed the route map and communicated to motorists the need of being familiar with the road closures. The administration strongly recommended that motorists start their travel early in order to avoid any potential problems that may arise throughout the entire route.

Immediately following the conclusion of the UAE Tour Women, which took place the previous week, the men's Tour started on February 19 and will continue until February 25. The only race on the UCI World Tour that takes place in the Middle East is this one.

The competition spans a total distance of 980 kilometers and is divided into seven stages. There are four sprint stages, two mountain stages, and a high-speed individual time trial that is 12.1 kilometers in length.

During Stage 4, often known as the "Dubai Stage," cyclists will travel a distance of 171 kilometers, commencing at the Dubai Police Officer's Club and concluding at Dubai Harbour.

Before making their way to Deira, riders will travel past Downtown Dubai and the world-famous Burj Khalifa. After that, they will travel across the desert, as well as the Al Qudra Cycle Track and the Jumeirah Islands. Following their passage over Palm Jumeirah, the cyclists will continue their race in order to reach the finish line at Dubai Harbour.
