Dubai taxis add Interactive Screens Offering TV, Games, News

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has initiated an innovative project to enhance the experience of taxi riders in the emirate.

Dubai Taxis Upgraded with Interactive Entertainment Screens

The project involves the installation of 4,500 cutting-edge interactive screens in taxis, offering passengers a wide range of premium lifestyle, news, entertainment, and promotional content while on the move.

The RTA, in partnership with e-hailing cab solution provider Hala and passenger experience business Binary Media, completed a successful trial of in-car interactive digital screens in 250 taxis, which prompted this attempt. Distinguished guests, including RTA's Public Transport Agency CEO Ahmed Bahrozyan, Hala's CEO Khaled Nuseibeh, and Binary Media's CEO Santosh Sarma, were present during a signing ceremony to officially begin the project.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA's Public Transport Agency, was overjoyed to work with Hala and Binary Media to provide customers with a new kind of immersive travel experience. He emphasised Hala's commitment to innovation in providing comfort and ease to its clients.

Khaled Nuseibeh, CEO at Hala, emphasized their commitment to delivering top-notch transportation experiences. The introduction of digital screens signifies their investment in technology to elevate the customer experience in alignment with Dubai's vision to become a global digital hub.

Binary Media's Onboard Entertainment System offers passengers exclusive experiences through interactive screens. Hala customers can enjoy various entertainment categories, including discovery, multimedia content, games, and web browsing, providing a diverse array of options to cater to different preferences.

Santosh Sarma, CEO at Binary Media, envisioned a future where travel time is as enjoyable as the destination itself, transforming idle moments into opportunities for entertainment and productivity. Through partnerships and innovative technologies, they aim to redefine the travel experience, offering a glimpse into future possibilities.

Hala currently manages a significant number of captains and vehicles on its platform, serving Dubai residents and visitors with efficient transportation services.
