Over the Eid al-Fitr holidays, Sharjah's municipal authorities have outlined key operational details for the emirate.
The announcement, made recently, sheds light on various aspects, including park timing and parking regulations.
Regarding park operations, Sharjah National Park and Rolla Park are set to welcome visitors from 8 a.m. to midnight. These extended hours offer ample opportunities for families and individuals to enjoy recreational activities throughout the day and into the evening. Additionally, all other parks across the emirate will be accessible from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., ensuring that residents have options for outdoor leisure regardless of their location within Sharjah.
A notable highlight of the announcement pertains to public parking arrangements. In a bid to facilitate ease of movement and enhance the festive spirit, authorities have declared free parking on the first, second, and third days of Eid al-Fitr. This gesture is aimed at reducing financial burdens on residents and visitors during the celebratory period, encouraging greater participation in holiday activities across the emirate.
However, it's essential to note that parking zones marked with blue signboards will maintain their regular charging policies. These areas will continue to enforce parking fees, including on Fridays and public holidays, as per existing regulations. While the majority of parking spaces offer complimentary use during the specified Eid days, users of designated zones are advised to adhere to the prescribed guidelines to avoid any inconvenience.
The municipality's proactive approach to disseminating information regarding park operations and parking provisions contributes to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all during the Eid al-Fitr festivities. By offering extended park hours and implementing measures to alleviate parking costs, Sharjah aims to foster a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike, fostering community engagement and celebration during this special occasion.
