The Eid Al Fitr holiday in the UAE is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 8 of the current year 2024, with the government granting federal government employees leave until Sunday, April 14, as the Sharjah government announced today, as the Sharjah government announced a week of leave for public sector employees. According to the Islamic calendar, the Eid al-Fitr holiday in the UAE will officially begin on April 8, regardless of the sighting of the crescent, depending on the time of sighting of the moon. Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on the first of Shawwal, that is, the month following the month of Ramadan.
The UAE population, both citizens and residents, is expected to prepare for the longest official holiday of the year, as the end of the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
