UAE Launches 24x7 Free Clinic for Passengers at Abu Dhabi Airport

Passengers at the airport can rest assured knowing that unexpected illnesses, pre-flight wellness checks, or emergencies will be addressed with the establishment of a new cutting-edge medical clinic at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.

A new cutting-edge medical clinic, offering complimentary treatment, is set to be established at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, easing concerns for travelers about unexpected health issues, pre-flight wellness checks, or emergencies. This initiative aims to provide passengers with peace of mind as they embark on their journeys.

The managing director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, Elena Sorlini, and the founder and chairman of Burjeel Holdings, Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on the development and management of this clinic. Passengers will have access to top-notch medical treatment at all hours of the day and night at the clinic, which is part of Burjeel Medical City (BMC), the main facility of Burjeel Holdings.

The clinic's services will ensure that guests have immediate access to healthcare without leaving the airport premises. It will offer complimentary healthcare to stabilize passengers' conditions before potential hospital transfers. Additionally, the clinic will be seamlessly connected to the advanced facilities and expertise available at the nearby BMC for individuals requiring further medical attention or hospitalization. Staff members of Abu Dhabi Airport and their families will also benefit from these services.

Elena Sorlini emphasized that this partnership underscores Abu Dhabi Airports' commitment to prioritizing passenger well-being and delivering a world-class airport experience. She expressed enthusiasm about advancing healthcare options within the airport ecosystem to enhance Abu Dhabi's global status as a tourism and aviation hub.

Zayed International Airport, one of the world's largest airport terminals, boasts the capacity to accommodate up to 45 million passengers annually. It integrates state-of-the-art biometric and screening technologies to ensure a seamless passenger experience from arrival to departure.

Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil highlighted that this state-of-the-art facility will enhance the travel experience and foster a healthier and safer airport community. He emphasized the significance of this initiative in setting new standards for healthcare excellence, extending beyond traditional healthcare settings. As the clinic prepares to serve passengers at Zayed International Airport, it aspires to become an integral part of every traveler's journey, prioritizing their health and safety.

The signing ceremony, attended by key officials from Burjeel Holdings and Abu Dhabi Airports, marked a significant milestone in advancing healthcare services within the airport environment.
