The onset of the extended Eid al-Fitr weekend marks a significant period of relaxation and festivity for numerous residents across the UAE.
As this prolonged break unfolds, commuters intending to traverse from Dubai to Abu Dhabi are urged to take heed of recent alterations to bus routes.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) issued a notice on Saturday, providing commuters with crucial updates regarding intercity bus routes. Effective April 6th, these adjustments will remain in force until April 14th.
Two key bus routes have undergone notable modifications:
- Route E100, typically commencing from Al Ghubaiba Station, will now initiate its journey from Ibn Battuta Bus Station, catering to passengers bound for Abu Dhabi.
- Route E102 will also commence its service from Ibn Battuta Bus Station, facilitating journeys to Al Mussafah Shabia Station in Abu Dhabi.
Additionally, adjustments to the operating hours of supplementary RTA bus services may also be implemented. Consequently, commuters are strongly advised to consult the S'hail app for the most up-to-date information.
For individuals reliant on marine transport, such as water taxis, the Dubai Ferry, and abras, pertinent scheduling details can be conveniently accessed via the RTA app.
Furthermore, individuals opting for the Dubai Metro or Tram can anticipate extended operational hours until 1 a.m. throughout the duration of the holiday period.
These adjustments aim to optimize travel efficiency and accommodate the heightened demand expected during the festive period. By staying informed and utilizing available resources, commuters can navigate their journeys seamlessly, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable Eid al-Fitr celebration.
These modifications signify the RTA's commitment to enhancing public transportation services, particularly during significant occasions such as Eid al-Fitr. By proactively communicating changes and providing accessible information, the RTA strives to facilitate hassle-free travel experiences for residents and visitors alike.
