Tensions between Israel and Lebanon have been on a steady rise since the attacks perpetrated by Hamas on October 7, prompting a recurring exchange of hostilities along Israel's northern border. Daniel Hagari, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), took to the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) to announce the commencement of extensive Israeli airstrikes within Lebanese territory. The rocket strike originating from Lebanon targeted the Safed area in northern Israel, specifically aiming at the Israeli military's northern command center, as reported by the IDF. Hezbollah, identified as a Shia Muslim organization, stands out as one of the most formidable non-state military entities globally.
